About

Helping individuals heal and Empowering clinicians

****If you are a therapist or First Responder seeking services following Hurricane Helene please reach out even if I might not be the best fit for you; I am connected with 100s of other therapists ready to support those trying to care for Western NC! ***** Welcome, I am so glad you are here. Experiencing a loss or trauma can feel alienating and leave you lacking connection. Maybe you have experienced a loss/trauma while also navigating pregnancy, postpartum or infertility. Maybe you are or were military/First Responder but don't feel supported by the systems in place to "help". You might want to feel different but struggle to navigate the how. Or the opposite you understand the how, you have done lots of therapy and continue to feel like you are not making the progress you wish. Whether you've never been to therapy before or you have tried it before but feel stuck; you are in the right place. I completed my Master of Social Work in 2017 and have been providing therapeutic services since. During this time, I have focused my practice on trauma and grief & loss, with a specific interest in perinatal experiences of trauma and loss. I have also spent the majority of my career working with the military community (including: active duty, caregivers, spouses, and veterans). I find I am highly effective in working with people who feel stuck with traditional talk therapy. THERAPY AND BRAINSPOTTING SERVICES Therapy is not "one size fits all". Therefore, I employ an integrative approach to ensure that the treatment protocol is appropriate and beneficial to you. This idea is incredibly important to me in helping you create change in your life because not a single client’s stories are ever the same even if they are similar, your unique experience needs a unique treatment approach. One of the approaches I use which is different from most is Brainspotting. I find Brainspotting, particularly helpful if you are someone who feels like they have done all they can with traditional talk therapy. You can find more information on the highly effective brain-based therapy at brainspotting.com or schedule a consult to discuss, if it might be a good fit for you. CLINICAL SUPERVISION I have been providing clinical supervision to LCSW-A as well as students throughout my time as an LCSW. I have a passion for empowering Social Workers to practice ethically, grow in both clinical skills and professional insight, all while meeting their personal and professional goals. Accepting referrals for adults interested in Telehealth only services. Currently accepting self pay clients, Tricare Select, Tricare4Life, Tricare Prime (with a PCM referral), and Aetna. I am in process of credentialing with BCBS. Please reach out to discuss fees for service. (Superbills available.)

“Gina is the most amazing, patient, thought provoking, encouraging, and empathetic Social Work supervisor any provisionally licensed individual could ask for. I feel more prepared to practice therapy because of her encouragement and tutelage”
